You'll park in the parking lot that's located next to the gift shop and entry way. You'll walk down a stairway and the museum is right there. You'll be approached by a local guide (the one who brought you there is not allowed into the ruins) , agree on a price and he/she will lead you to the ruins, just a short walk really. The ruins cover a large area but you can see a lot in about 2 hours. The ruins are on a hill so while you are viewing the ruins you'll have nice vistas in any direction. There are a number of helpful placards at particular spots that explain what you are looking at. I've been there twice; the second time the museum was greatly improved. You can easily spend an hour perusing just the museum.

sorry for delay in replying as I do not spend too much time with TA. Also, we had a rental car so I don't know. Sorry.
Q:
Hi, can anyone tell me if I will need a full day to view the site properly? Many thanks

It depends: if you are into archeology, then at least 4-5 hours there. If not, 2.5 hours there
