Shares in Videogames retailer GameStop had jumped as much as 6% in intraday trading Wednesday eventually receding to close up 1.5% at $25.37. It was climbing a modest 1.7% ahead of Thursday’s opening bell having swung wildly in early June after Gill returned to social media with a series of cryptic posts. They’re down 14.3% over the past month.

Keith Gill is back, buying more stock in GameStop and building a stake in Chewy. But not everyone seems happy to see the share price influencer and disruptor return.

Keith Gill, the former financial analyst for MassMutual, is being sued in Brooklyn federal court by GameStop shareholders who allege securities fraud.

Investors in GameStop have for now withdrawn their lawsuit accusing Keith Gill, who is known as "Roaring Kitty" and helped spur the meme stock mania of 2021, of defrauding them through a "pump-and-dump" scheme for the videogame retailer.

GameStop CEO Ryan Cohen is also the founder of Chewy, though Chewy hasn’t traded much like a meme stock so far.

A class-action lawsuit against online investor Keith Gill, popularly known as “Roaring Kitty,” was dropped barely three days after it was filed. The lawsuit filed by GameStop shareholder Martin Radev last Friday accused Gill of securities fraud and running a “pump-and-dump” scheme for the GameStop stock.
