A Surprise is facing federal charges after investigators said they breached the U.S. Capitol building during the Jan. 6 riot.

The Justice Department has convicted more than 1,000 Jan. 6 rioters. U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves says the crimes that occurred that day are likely some of the most recorded in history.

A South Jersey man and his brother are accused of assaulting and robbing a photographer during the January 2021 Capitol riot. David Walker, 49, of Delran and Philip Walker, 52 of Pennsylvania allegedly targeted their victim at the top of a stairway inside the Capitol, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Two brothers were arrested Thursday on charges that they assaulted a New York Times photographer inside the U.S. Capitol during a mob’s attack on the building more than three years ago.

Brothers Phillip and David Walker face charges more than four years after the deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol.
