Apple has just released watchOS 11, the latest version of its smartwatch operating system, alongside iOS 18 and iPadOS 18. The update, available for the Apple Watch Series 6 and later models, will finally allow users to take rest days without breaking their activity streak and introduces FDA-cleared sleep apnea detection.

The new version of the software that powers the iPhone will allow greater customization, but users will have to wait for a future update to use " Apple Intelligence ," the company's new AI offerings.

Apple has released iOS 18 for download, featuring a customisable home screen, Safari improvements, and an overhauled Photos app. The update supports various models from the iPhone 11 to the latest iPhone 16 series.

Intel's foundry, or contract manufacturing business, has signed up Amazon's cloud services unit as a customer for making custom artificial intelligence chips, the companies said on Monday, a deal that gives the chip maker a vote of confidence.

Intel and AWS will coinvest in a custom semiconductor for artificial intelligence computing – what’s known as a fabric chip – in a “multiyear, multibillion-dollar framework,” according to a statement Monday.
