For many fans, a Zelda game where you actually play as Zelda is enough reason to be excited for the latest instalment, but The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom truly shines by showing what we can expect from the series in a post-Tears of the Kingdom world.

In case you’ve somehow avoided all the hype surrounding this game, it’s the first-ever Zelda game where actually get to play as Zelda herself. By wielding magical powers, she can summon Echoes of objects (and creatures) encountered along the journey to defeat evil — and ultimately save Link.

Nintendo has a first-party big-name Switch title due out in a couple of weeks, then news breaks that copies of the game have already leaked online. It’s happened yet again with September 26's The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom—a ROM of the game apparently first showing up Friday,

Nintendo and Lawson will launch a new goods campaign featuring The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom in late September 2024 in Japan.

Unfortunately, this isn’t a rare occurrence. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom leaked before its debut last year, with boss battles and other spoiler-laden footage popping up within a similar timeframe, around two weeks ahead of the release date.

Later this month, Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is finally giving Zelda a leading role in her own franchise. However, someone has apparently leaked the Echoes of Wisdom ROM weeks before the game's scheduled release, which means spoilers for the game may already be circulating online.

Echoes of Wisdom is set to release on September 26, 2024 for Nintendo Switch. Players can explore Hyrule as Princess Zelda and utilize her new ability to replicate objects and enemies. The game also introduces puzzle-solving mechanics.
